Cult of the lamb future updates12/13/2023 ![]() ![]() Remnant II does a good job of introducing players into the idea that they’ll be in a constant gaming loop of exploring, obtaining upgrades and venturing further to defeat bosses and discover more of the world. In a brief intro, your character is introduced as a survivor and you’ll soon be brought into the hub area of the game where you’ll craft/upgrade weapons, obtain gear, and travel to new areas. So what’s the gist of Remnant II ? Well, after creating a character you’re thrown into a world overrun with “the root,” a cosmic entity that has a tree like appearance and spawns hellish monsters into this world. But I do think they have delivered an exciting and at times very fun game that will probably only get better with time, even if the story is quite lacking. Is it entirely successful? I’m not sure about that. I always hoped that later iterations would fix my issues I had with it because the idea is wildly intriguing.Įnter Remnant II and Gunfire are heading back to the world they created in hopes of polishing and reiterating on ideas they had. Fans loved it but I found the first installment to be less Souls and more of a really unbalanced action adventure set in an interesting but messy world. Back in 2019, Gunfire Games presented audiences with Remnant: From The Ashes, which promised a Dark Souls- like take on the third-person shooter genre. ![]() Heck, Jedi Survivor is essentially one of those games set in the Star Wars universe and I ended up loving that. Often characterized by their use of physical checkpoints, limited but refillable resources, and punishing difficulty, it’s easy to see the appeal of adding some of those ideas to new genres. The sub-genre made famous by From Software and their Dark Souls series is pretty much iconic at this point. Imitating a Souls game is a risky prospect. Lastly, you can now and preserve your treasured memories forever with Cult of The Lamb‘s new Photo Mode.Ĭult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch. You’ll also now have new types of Followers, including badgers, penguins, raccoons and more. New Farm Plot Signs encourage Followers to organize their crops. Meanwhile, new mechanics include allowing you to assign a Follower to do the meal prep for you in the Kitchen, Shared Shelters that house up to three Followers, as well as a new Crypt to store your mounting corpses. That also includes tougher enemies, which also boast stronger attacks. You can conduct Sermons to unlock new Relics and keep track of them in the Relic Book as you uncover mysterious new lore concerning “The Three Ducks.”Ĭombat improvements also come in the form of Heavy Attacks, which enable players to embark on deeper and more challenging expeditions than before. “Relics of the Old Faith” sees a mysterious being tasking you with conquering revamped crusades, enemies and bosses with the help of Relics, which are usable items that “bestow unique effects” upon the Lamb that enhance combat. The free DLC will arrive April 24 for PC and consoles, and introduces a brand-new post-game storyline, combat improvements and more. ![]() Massive Monster and Devolver Digital have announced that their hugely popular cult sim Cult of the Lamb will be getting its first major content update next week in “Relics of the Old Faith”. ![]()
